How to Empty a Dyson Ball Vacuum
When it comes to the Dyson ball vacuum, you will get a detachable dust cup there. It’s very easy to detach the cup from the vacuum. All you have to do is press the button at the top of the cup. When you press, the cup will pop out immediately.
Now, you need to grab the handle of the cup to bring it to a dustbin. To trash the dust successfully, you need to hover the bottom of the cup over the bin. Make sure that the bottom of the cup is quite low in the trash can or bin to avoid spillage. It will also make sure that the floor will not get messed up with dust.
When everything is properly set up, you need to press the release button which you will find on the top position of the handle. Upon releasing the button, the cup’s bottom will open up. So, all of the dust and other contents of the cup will be released immediately.
Finally, you need to shake or tap the cup gently as a final checkup so that any loose dirt can also be removed. After that, you should close the bottom part and you will certainly hear a click sound which means the door is correctly locked. Then, you will need to return the dust cup to its right place. However, make sure that the cup is properly locked in its place.
How to Empty a Dyson V-Series Vacuum
The Dyson V-series vacuum is quite popular these days. In fact, in most cases, you will find a V-series product in anyone’s house who has a Dyson vacuum cleaner. But, there are several models in the V-series. If you don’t know, the design of the vacuum cleaner has been widely changed after the Dyson V8.
From V8 to onward versions, the dust cusps are not L-shaped anymore. Instead, they come in an in-line design. As the dust cup design is changed in later V-series models, the overall process of emptying it is also different for those models.
So, I have made two sections for Dyson V-series which are as follows-
Dyson V6 to V8:
For these models, the process of cleaning up the vacuum is simple. Since they have an L-shaped dust cup, most people know what to do. But, if you don’t know what to do, don’t worry at all. There is no rocket science to get the job done.
First of all, you will need to shut off the vacuum and the cord should be removed from the electric outlet. If there is any extra attachment, such as a Dyson under the couch attachment, it should also be removed from the machine.
You will find a red button located near the handle and behind the dust cup. If you press that button, the bottom of the dust cup will be opened immediately and all the dust and trash will be released. So, before pressing that button, you must hold the vacuum above a trash can. Otherwise, you may create a serious mess on the floor.
Now, if you need to open up the entire dust cup from the vacuum, after opening the door, you should press that button again. As a result, the dust will come off from the vacuum. In that case, you will be able to clean or wash the dust cup with more perfection. After completing the cleaning task, you must return the dust cup to its place.
Dyson V10 to V15:
If you talk about Dyson V10, V11, and V15 models, you will see that they come with an in-line dust cup design. In this case, the design is comparatively complicated as the dust cup is connected to the motor and wand. So, the emptying process of the vacuum is also different here. Firstly, shut off the vacuum. Then, you need to separate the front suction wand.
There is a button by pressing which the wand can be released from the rest of the machine. Now that the wand is already released, you will find the release door of the dust cup. At this point, you should point the dust cup towards the trash can.
To get the job done properly, you can hold the vacuum by the handle. You will get a red latch underneath the cup. When you press the latch, the door of the cup will be opened. By doing so, the trash from the dust cup will be released. It is a more hygienic way to remove dust from the cup as you won’t have to come in direct contact with the dirt.
Besides, in the front, there is another small button that will allow you to remove the cup entirely if you want. When it comes to the reinstallation of the cup, you will need to reverse the entire process.
Dyson vacuum suction is too strong. So, these products have become quite popular. You will find these models in most of the super shops. For instance, if you talk about the Dyson V6 absolute, you will find it in the bed bath and beyond the shop without any hassle.
Sometimes, you might face some difficulties with your Dyson. For example, in some cases, your Dyson vacuum won’t stand up. In that case, you need to fix the machine to get back to work. Besides, you must know how to empty Dyson vacuums which I have discussed thoroughly in this article. I hope now you know how to clean the dust cup of your favorite Dyson vacuum.
